About us

At GETs Consulting, our mission is to bridge the gap between utilities, developers, data centers and grid enhancing technology (GET) companies to help design smarter, more efficient, and cost-effective transmission and interconnection solutions.  

We have helped to build new transmission lines, helped upgrade t-lines, managed interconnections and developed renewable energy generation.  We have seen the pinch points and challenges to reaching our climate goals first hand.   The stark reality is that we (in the U.S. and globally) need to double, then triple, the capacity of our transmission system to add enough renewable energy generation to reach our climate goals.   And, connecting renewable energy to the transmission grid is expensive, takes time and has the risk of lowered rates of return due to curtailment.  

That's why we are here to help ISOs, utilities, renewable generators and investors find smarter, cheaper, faster ways to add capacity, interconnect and reduce the risk of curtailment.  Most of the solutions involve grid enhancing technologies.  We help you evaluate them, pay for them and bring necessary stakeholders together to plan and implement them.
